Terra Secca is an upscale Trattoria set in the midst of a boutique desert resort. Full of Italian charm and warmth, the design blends rustic finishes with contemporary accents, resulting in an atmosphere that is beautiful and sophisticated. Comforting Italian food and a well-selected glass of wine mark the start to the evening. Choose from private seating in booths or enjoy watching the talented chefs at work from the open layout of the kitchen. Serving traditional Italian food, at Terra Secca, delicate fresh pasta is made in house and delicious thin crisp pizza is baked in the wood-fired oven. Seafood has a special place in the menu, where Italy’s best dishes are re-interpreted with the freshest fish from the Arabian Gulf.

Set in the mesmerizing desert of Abu Dhabi within Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa is Al Mabeet Desert Camp, a high-end interpretation of nomadic living, and a reverent homage to the Bedouin spirit of the United Arab Emirates.

Understated luxury at its best, Al Mabeet transports guests to the regal experience once extended to royal guests and heads of Bedouin tribes, which defines the essence of Jumeirah’s desert experience.

Bright and spacious, with different sections as well as indoor and outdoor space, Bait Al Hanine honours the alluring destination where it sits. Chefs offer a taste of Arabia where flavours of the desert are brought to life. Classic Lebanese dishes are made in big open-style kitchens showcasing charcoal kebab grills and a traditional saj oven.

For breakfast, guests can choose from a wide display of favourites including a cold-press juice bar, Emirati breakfast specials, healthy fare by Jumeirah’s Chef Gabi (an expert in wellness and health), and a live egg station. Baked treats can be selected from the in-house baker who will walk around the tables, greeting guests and serving freshly made bread and pastries.

For lunch, a small a la carte menu with daily specialties will be served; for dinner, guests can choose from a wide display from the live kitchen.

Bar "Panache"

The true life of the resort, Panache is responsible for the refreshing and soothing energy that comes from a 1000 square feet pool, expanding into intimate inlets, coves, and a dreamy pool barstools made out of shiny green tiles are submerged for the guests to sit at the in-the-water bar. The team, serves classic cocktails for guests to sip on, as well as enticing fun additions including the refreshing frozen vogue, which is set to become a favourite. Peaceful and blissful, lunch at Panache is in line with dessert setting. The menu is a combination of Arabic comfort food and well-balanced dishes by Jumeirah’s Chef Gabi, an expert in nutrition and health. The a la carte menu also features a selection cold-press juices for guests to refresh and refuel as they take in the sun.

Hayaakom is the lobby lounge at Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa. Meaning ‘welcome’ in Arabic, Hayaakom sets guests up for a great arrival the resort, one that is just like the entry hall of an intimate yet luxurious family desert house.
Traditionally Bedouin, understated and with décor reminiscent of the inviting and grand homes found in desert camps, Hayaakom has a main entrance with a beautiful water fountain and an impressive chandelier where guests are first greeted when they step into the resort. A delicate experience setting up expectations for desert living at its best, Hayaakom is serene and private.
Here guests enjoy light fare, including designer sandwiches and salads, and an array of healthy dishes by Jumeirah’s Chef Gabi, an expert in nutrition and health. Coffee is made by trained baristas and the offering includes Arabic coffee and teas, as well as inspired mocktails.
